EchoLink

Connects licensed amateurs, repeaters and RF link stations over the Internet. Validated operators can also use EchoLink directly from a modern web browser.

IRLP

The Internet Radio Linking Project links participating radio nodes and reflectors while keeping RF radio at the edge of the network. Utah nodes can be checked against IRLP's live status service.

AllStar

AllStarLink connects amateur-radio nodes using Asterisk-based infrastructure. Repeaters, simplex nodes and hubs can be linked into much larger systems.

About this first build: network status changes constantly. IRLP entries below are seeded from its current Utah status listing; selected EchoLink and AllStar entries come from current network listings. Map pins placed at a city are intentionally labeled approximate until an exact repeater-site coordinate is added to the UtahHamRadio.net database. This avoids presenting a city center as the actual tower location.

How to use Internet-linked radio

The exact commands depend on the repeater or node operator.

1. Find a local access pointChoose a nearby EchoLink, IRLP or AllStar RF node and confirm its frequency, tone and operating notes.
2. Listen before transmittingMake sure the frequency is clear and identify with your amateur callsign. Some linked systems may already be carrying a conversation or net.
3. Follow the node's commandsDTMF linking commands and disconnect procedures vary. Use the node owner's published instructions rather than assuming every repeater uses the same sequence.
